For those couples who are shortly expecting the arrival of baby there are several major items that they will need to purchase before the baby arrives. Of all the items that need to be brought one of the most important and one of the most expensive is a pram or pushchair. As they soon discover there are many different kinds of prams and pushchairs to select from so finding one that is suitable can prove challenge. To help them with their decision in this article we look at the advantages of 2-in-1 pushchairs.

The first thing that parents to be will notice with this type of pushchair is that the part in which the baby will travel can be easily converted from a pram into a pushchair just through the pressing of a number of buttons or levers. Plus to further ensure that the baby is kept safe and secure when travelling in this kind of pushchair the makers provide a fabric apron and hood.

So for what reasons should parents to be consider purchasing this type of pushchair instead of the 3-in-1 kind or a traditional pram? In this article we look at some of the advantages to parents of purchasing this type of pushchair.

Advantage 1 – These are designed not only for use with new born babies but for children up to the age of 3 years. In most cases children once they get to the age of 3 prefer not to be strapped in to a pushchair or stroller but prefer to move around by themselves.

Advantage 2 – As with the 3-in-1 pushchairs this type allows the part in which the child is travelling to be removed completely from the chassis without too many problems.. The handles that it has on the sides then allows the parents if they wish to use it as a carrycot.

Advantage 3 – Generally during the first few weeks after their birth babies tend to spend considerable amounts of time sleeping. This pushchair has the facility to be placed in an upright or reclined position through the pressing of certain buttons. So parents can easily alter the position to one that is comfortable for the baby when sleeping and will not disturb them when they are doing it. Yet as soon as the baby is awake the parents can then put it into the upright position once more so that the baby can have a better view of things around them.

Advantage 4 ” One thing that may determine whether parents to be choose this type of pushchair over some of the others is the cost. These ones tend to cost considerably less than the 3-in-1 pushchairs and there are far less attachments to take off of them. A 3-in-1 pushchair often comes with a separate car seat attachment, pushchair attachment and carrycot attachment.

Advantage 5 ” As the carrycot and pushchair convert easily from one to the other this type of pushchair incorporates a safety harness. Which the child will wear when they are sat upright in it or can be used when the baby is laying down. To prevent the harness hurting the child when lying down these types of pushchairs come with additional padding.

Above we have shown you some of the advantages of 2-in-1 pushchairs over the other kinds of prams, pushchairs and strollers on the market today. But what all parents must remember if they are thinking of purchasing such a product is that they will need to also purchase a good quality car seat.

As you can see there are a number of things to think about when looking to by pushchairs as well as any item that is for your kid. There are many safety aspects to bear in mind, we’ve also put together a guide to 3 in 1 pushchairs which should assist you in making a decision on what pushchair you require.
